Dr Kafa Lee

DRCOG · DFSRH · DCH · FRACGP · MRCGP · Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner · Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) · Certified Health Coach (HCANZA, Prekure)

Dr Kafa Lee is a highly regarded women's health GP in Melbourne, bringing over 23 years of clinical experience, including over 16 years as a GP. She trained in the UK, including within the NHS, before moving to Australia in 2012, and has since become a proud, active member of Melbourne's medical community. Over the years, patients have kept returning to her for the same reasons: her expertise, her compassion, and her commitment to whole-person care — and that trust is what led her to bring Arami to life, a dedicated space offering that same specialised, unhurried care in perimenopause and menopause, PMDD, adult ADHD support, lifestyle and preventative medicine, and weight loss management.

Dr Lee's Philosophy

As Dr Kafa says about the thinking behind Arami's name and approach: “If you walk into Arami Women's Health, I want it to feel like stepping into your friend or your auntie's living room — warm, non-judgmental, and a place where you can take a breath, tell the truth, and not feel rushed.”

She describes her approach as “slow medicine”: “Slow, steady, listen. When patients leave my room, I hope they leave feeling like somebody has truly understood them that day.”

At the heart of Dr Lee's work is a deep belief in the healing power of lifestyle, community and evidence-based medicine. She creates a space where patients feel seen, heard and respected, where concerns are never minimised and health goals are always the priority.

Whether you're seeking answers, navigating change, or looking to reclaim your health, Dr Lee and the Arami team are here to walk alongside you with insight, empathy, and expert guidance.

About Dr Kafa Lee

Dr Lee holds the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and the Diploma in Child Health (DCH), and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP). She is also a Board Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner, a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), and a certified Health Coach through HCANZA and Prekure — training she pursued because she believes good health is about more than prescriptions, and that truly supporting women takes a whole-person, evidence-based approach.

Dr Lee grew up in Nigeria, in a Yoruba family and community where, as she has described it, “we would spend hours storytelling. People would share their health stories. My grandmother and her friends would sit around and talk — and you would learn about health through them.” That heritage, combined with her medical training and years of practice in the UK, shapes the unhurried, listening-first approach she brings to every consultation at Arami.

“Every woman deserves care that honours her story, empowers her choices, and supports her whole self. That's what Arami is here to provide.”
